Immanuel's Preschool Program
March was an exciting month for Preschool. We had many mystery readers including some in full costume, Pajama Day, special Field Trips and much more. March has moved its tired legs along (March is tired because it is always marching, get it?) and we are heading into the last two months of the school year. Teachers are preparing for Parent Conferences, the playground will be finished over Spring Break, and a new Preschool Coordinator has been announced.
New Preschool Director for 2018/2019 School Year
We would like to proudly announce that Monique Cunningham has been selected as the new Preschool Director to replace Claudia Hansen at the end of the school year.
Monique has been teaching at Immanuel Lutheran Preschool for 12 years. She holds a Masters in Education. She comes to the job with energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to serve all the families in Preschool. With Monique in the lead, Immanuel Lutheran Preschool will strongly move forward, seeking God’s blessings in all we do.
Claudia Hansen will continue to perform the duties of the Director and PreK Teacher, until the end of the school year. Who will be teaching the PreK Class in the coming school year will soon be determined.
We are beginning to establish waiting lists for 3 yr old, 4 yr old and PreK afternoon classes. If you know anyone who would still like to have their child attend Immanuel Preschool next year, please have them get on the waitlist. When we have 10 children on the list for an age level, we will open a new class.
New Outreach Program
Preschool plans on participating with Immanuel’s Outreach Ministry in supporting the police officers of St. Clair by making Birthday, Easter and Thank-You cards. This will be a great way for the children to learn to show how they care and to give honor and respect to those who serve our community.
