Scholarships for Immanuel's High School Seniors
The Immanuel Lutheran Church Endowment Scholarship
This scholarship was initially funded by Lucy & Larry Rahmeyer for the youth of Immanuel Lutheran church. It is intended for those seeking to further their education after graduation from High School by attending a 2 or 4 year college, trade or vocational school.
It is a one-time only grant for tuition
All applications are due April 7, 2019.
Criteria for applying” (Applications found outside church office)
Applicants must have a G.P.A. of at least 3.00
The candidate must be a member of Immanuel Lutheran church for not less than 2 years in order to be considered for the scholarship.
The candidate will have been involved in active worship and participation in service activities
The candidate’s personal life must reflect the morals, values, ethics, and teachings of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
The recipients will be chosen from input by a committee consisting of the Pastor, Business Manager, assigned Elder, and Endowment Committee member.
Janet P. Elsholz Memorial Scholarship (granted by the Janet & Edward Elsholz Family Foundation)
Criteria for applying: High School seniors who have been members of Immanuel Lutheran Church for at least 2 years and are pursuing a 4 year college degree for a career in public or private sector. Applicants must be applying to an accredited college, university, or St. Clair County Community College. Applicants must have a G.P.A. of at least 3.00. (Applications found outside church office)
Applications must be returned to the Church Office by April 7, 2019
Applicants must be involved in active worship attendance and bible study.
Applicants must display a life of voluntary service to the Lord using their God-given talents.
Applicants’ personal life must reflect the morals, values, ethics, and teachings of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
The recipients will be chosen by a committee consisting of our Pastor, Christian Education Coordinator, The administrator for the above foundation, and an assigned Elder. The final decision for all applicants will be made at the discretion of the Board of Elders.
